Missguided predicts which affiliates will be key to Q4 success

Drawing inspiration from social media, street style, and popular culture, we asked Missguided to share insight on which affiliates they expect to be key to Q4 success, as well as their Black Friday/Cyber Monday plans.
Is there a specific type of affiliate you see as the biggest star this holiday season (influencers, coupon and cashback sites, bloggers, etc.)? Have you seen any unique or creative promotional methods?
Influencers are key to this time of year. We have tried to work a lot closer with bloggers on social channels over the past few months and have seen great engagement with new collection launches, such as our Carli Bybel x Missguided collaboration and our Barbie range. We are planning an influencer campaign for our partywear launch too.
Are there specific products you expect to be the biggest sellers in Q4?
Missguided just launched its partywear campaign titled ‘we like to party.’ It is all about communicating the start of October party product, styling to drive sales on key party season pieces and educating customers on how to dress for the new season. We expect the party shop to be a key category for online sales over, as well as gifting, which always does well around the holiday period.
How big of an event is Black Friday for your brand in the U.S.? What impact has the event had on your business in previous years?
Black Friday is a huge event here at Missguided. What started out as a one-day event has grown over the years to almost a ‘cyber week’ and ‘cyber hangover’ after the weekend… We have seen massive growth in the US market, especially last year planning our ‘naughty list’ campaign, which gave customers the chance to sign up early to our offers and keep updated with our big discounts. It was by far the biggest day of the year in terms of revenue, sales and traffic, and as a company we broke all previous records.
What exclusive offers or plans do you have for Black Friday 2017? Will you also be participating in Cyber Monday? How will your promotions or approach differ between the two retail holidays?
Missguided usually plans a ‘cyber week’ consisting of daily deals, flash promotions and strong discounts. We build up our offers throughout the week, with the main event being Black Friday, followed by Cyber Monday.
Our creative team makes sure we always have concept around online, which they work on for months to make us stand out from other retailers. This year it is all about diversity and being yourself… you might even be seeing some furry friends as the new babes of Missguided!
