The changing needs of travel publishers

Travel is an industry of growing saturation and competition. 2017 has been a challenging year for the wider UK travel market, with the pressure of a weaker pound and political instability sending some big companies into administration. Despite this, data indicates a strong underlying demand and positive picture . Last year, Awin delivered five million travel sales with a total booking value of £656 million. The power of the affiliate channel led to a 28% increase in sales and 11% increase in clicks, driven by a surge in demand for local holidays and airport transfers.
