Migration to Momentum: How Unique Vintage Grew After Moving to Awin
How a strategic migration to Awin and the right agency transformed a stagnant affiliate channel into a $100k-a-month revenue engine.
Unique Vintage is a US fashion retailer known for its vintage-inspired, pin-up aesthetic. Founded in 2000, it runs frequent pop-culture capsule collaborations with brands like Barbie, Universal Monsters, and Coca-Cola.
The challenge
Unique Vintage is a brand with a devoted customer base and a strong identity. Its affiliate program, however, wasn't keeping pace.
Inefficiencies on its platform were quietly holding it back. Among the usual suspects:
- A missing product feed
- A flat commission structure
- A publisher mix that leaned heavily on bottom-funnel incentive partners
Heading into 2026, Unique Vintage made a decision to migrate to Awin and use the move as a catalyst to rebuild the program from the ground up.
Affiliate migrations are high-risk by nature. Publisher confidence can waver, tracking gaps can appear, and performance can dip before it recovers. If these issues aren't addressed in the transition, brands simply carry their old problems onto a new platform.
Unique Vintage needed a smooth migration that would actually make the channel better. That meant fixing the foundations, diversifying the publisher mix, and scaling intelligently rather than just reproducing what it had before.
The solution
The support from Awin extended to more than just technology. First, we introduced Unique Vintage to JEBCommerce, a trusted agency partner, to co-lead the migration and long-term growth strategy.
The immediate plan was to fix what was broken before moving on to the bigger wins.
Getting the basics right
One of the first wins was simple but significant: implementing a product feed, something that had been absent from the Unique Vintage program for the entire previous year.
That inclusion meant that new partners could automatically pull in accurate, up-to-date product data from the brand, rather than manually scraping or working with outdated information. On Awin, the product feed was straightforward to set up, immediately giving publishers stronger, more relevant content to work with.
Alongside this, creative assets and promotional messaging were refreshed to align with Unique Vintage's brand story and seasonal campaigns, giving partners a clearer, more compelling reason to promote.
Building a smarter publisher mix
The previous Unique Vintage program relied heavily on loyalty and promotional partners: a common pattern that creates revenue dependency without building brand reach.
Using Awin's partner categorization and discovery tools, JEBCommerce segmented the existing partner base by type, performance, and growth potential, then used those insights to drive more targeted recruitment.
Functioning legacy relationships were reactivated, while new content, influencer, and technology partners were brought in to rebalance the partner mix.
This expanded Unique Vintage's active affiliate base by +18% within just a few months to reach over 100 partners.
Fixing the commercial model
To incentivize high-potential content and influencer partners, commission rates were restructured away from a flat, one-size-fits-all model to provide scope for stronger payouts.
Bottom-funnel partners were held to clearer performance standards as part of a general tightening of the coupon strategy. Attribution guidelines were also clarified so that commission eligibility was tied directly to the value each partner contributed in the customer journey.
Awin as the operational backbone
Awin's reporting tools gave Unique Vintage a view it hadn't had before. As well as delivering revenue attribution by partner type, the brand could see partner activation rates and engagement, a constant flow of new trends, and clear signals for where incremental growth opportunities existed.
Rather than managing a program in the dark, JEBCommerce and Unique Vintage saw exactly which partner categories were performing, which were underperforming, and where to invest next.
The results
For Unique Vintage, the move to Awin was the moment the affiliate channel finally started firing.
Unique Vintage averaged approximately $35,000 per month in affiliate revenue throughout 2025.
By May 2026, the program surpassed $100,000 in monthly revenue, representing nearly 3x monthly growth.
The $358,000 Unique Vintage made in affiliate revenue across the first five months was 90% of the $398,000 the program generated across the entire previous year. More impressively, the 3x growth in monthly run rate was delivered while maintaining a 16x ROAS.
By combining Awin’s publisher ecosystem, reporting tools, and migration support with JEBCommerce's strategic expertise, Unique Vintage unlocked a diversified, fast-growing channel in a matter of months.
