Awin expands its brand partnerships offering with specialist ‘gift with purchase’ technology partners

Written by 2 minute read

Awin partners with BrandSwap and Tyviso, enabling retailers to seamlessly integrate gift with purchase technology and elevate customer rewards.

Awin has partnered with specialist plug-and-play service providers BrandSwap and Tyviso to help clients seamlessly enhance their online customer shopping experience with the inclusion of free gifts and rewards.

A free ‘gift with purchase’ (GWP) allows retailers to promote third-party offers from complementary brands to prospective customers at the point of purchase. In most use cases, the customer simply adds a free gift to their shopping cart prior to completing their order. The retailer then sends an order confirmation email before triggering an additional email with instructions for gift redemption.

BrandSwap and Tyviso are helping to reduce the barriers to entry for brands looking to offer customer rewards. Awin brands, from startup to enterprise and across all industry sectors, can manage and launch a gift with purchase reward widget within minutes. Here’s how:

  1. Select your customer rewards from a diverse list of Awin partner brands
  2. Choose your gift with purchase widget placement
  3. Fully customize the reward widget according to your brand guidelines
  4. Preview how the rewards will be displayed to customers onsite
  5. Publish your reward widget for promotion (You can activate, pause or remove offers in real time)

The (free) gift that keeps on giving

In addition to enhanced tracking and reporting through Awin’s partnerships platform, integration with BrandSwap and Tyviso empowers retailers to monetize brand partner promotions through commission payments. By implementing the value-added gift widget, brands have an opportunity to drive incremental inbound revenue via earned commissions.

Awin has already seen GWP successes with brands like Myprotein and SimplyCook. Myprotein offered customers a free recipe box from SimplyCook at the shopping cart stage of the purchase journey, referring over 56,000 new customers to SimplyCook with a 26% conversion rate. In addition, Myprotein was able to increase its average order value by $11 and generate over $186,000 from inbound commission payments.

By partnering with SimplyCook, Myprotein demonstrated an understanding of its customer base and developed a brand partnerships campaign which delivered customer satisfaction and increased brand loyalty.

“We’re seeing a continual rise in the number of brands engaging in brand partnership conversations; we facilitated more than 800 brand-to-brand partnerships in Q1 of 2023 alone. The additions of BrandSwap and Tyviso to our already strong collection of technology service providers will further increase the potential scope of opportunity for Awin brands. We’ve already seen significant successes with gifts with purchase and what they can provide for our clients, both reward hosts and promoted brands. We’re excited to see how our strategic partnerships will help shape this incredibly valuable brand partnership opportunity.”
