Global affiliate marketing network Awin has launched Awin Access a new service to support grassroots e-commerce growth via affiliate marketing.

Global affiliate marketing network Awin has launched “Awin Access” for the Nordic market, a new service to support grassroots e-commerce growth via affiliate marketing and to offer small businesses direct access to new clients.

VD Tim Lomborg on the launch of the access product: “We want to provide small businesses from all industries a low risk, reduced commitment and low cost access to a wide variety of partners, that can offer efficient and qualitative acquisition of new customers.

The main challenge in ecommerce that pose a concern to SMEs is the influx of businesses moving online and the challenge of reaching an audience in a qualitative and cost efficient way. In addition to the expense of winning a new client it has become ever more challenging to retain customer loyalty online.

According to svenskhandel, ecommerce has grown by 22% in 2019 and has accelerated even further during the current corona pandemic. In the most recent Postnord e-barometer survey conducted, 76% of Swedes are now shopping online with an increasing amount per month. Clearly the number of pure ecommerce businesses is accelerating, whilst businesses with no ecommerce presence are declining, escalating the pressure to compete for the next customer online.

The Awin network offers a vast range of possibilities to create strategic partnerships with publishers, that can multiply an Advertisers exposure in a wide variety of contexts. This includes product reviews from influencers and test sites, price comparison, content partners as well as offer sites and many more.

With pressure on margins and customer loyalty increasing even further in the next year, due to the launch of Amazon.se, our Awin Access offering will provide options for small businesses that want to invest in their own brand and customer base on a pure performance basis, whilst maintaining full control of how and in which context this happens. Says Awin VD Tim Lomborg

Once integrated, Advertisers are able to immediately use Awin’s intuitive platform to begin building direct partnerships with over 200,000 vetted publisher partners. Coupled with first-class tracking and reporting, the platform offers an ethical and secure plug and play solution to boost presence, traffic and sales, vital for young businesses to thrive.

The launch of Awin Access follows a successful pilot in the UK, incorporating 159 SMEs generating over £2.1 million in sales revenue. The pilot welcomed small businesses and entrepreneurs from across the travel, finance, telco and retail sectors. Retail accounted for 72% of programmes, including independent silversmith Hersey & Son, who successfully used the new service to drive a 29% increase in traffic and 23% increase in sales, year on year. The affiliate channel now accounts for 15% of Hersey & Son’s online sales.

We welcome beginners, accelerators, start-ups and entrepreneurs to apply for Awin Access here.

Awin Access will be available across all Nordic markets.
