Benedict Evans and The New Gatekeepers

Respected tech analyst Benedict Evans joins the podcast to discuss how the internet is reshaping businesses today. 

Benedict Evans has spent two decades analyzing mobile, media and technology trends, and gave this year’s keynote at Awin’s ThinkTank UK conference. Titled ‘The New Gatekeepers’ his talk took a macro look at how businesses and consumer habits have been shaped by the internet and what the possible impact of AI might be in the future.  

Benedict’s previous experience in equity research, strategy, consulting and working at the venture capital firm Andreesen Horowitz means he’s uniquely placed to offer some incredibly interesting takes on the state of the tech industry, which he duly does on this month’s episode. 

We ask him about the role of marketing and advertising in this new world and what it means for successfully reaching and engaging consumers today.
