Refunder, Awin's best performing Swedish publisher during Black Week 2021 tells us about their winning concept & thoughts on this year's shopping period.

Refunder is Sweden's largest cashback site with 700,000 shopping-intensive members who shopped for 1.4 billion SEK in 2021. In total, they have 1100 affiliated stores. 

What kind of products and deals resonate with your audience?
Refunder cover the entire e-commerce sector, but the largest categories are:

How does Refunder differentiate itself from other voucher platforms in the affiliate space?
Refunder's 692,000 members spend 1.4 billion SEK per year, these members are high-octane shoppers who have a higher average spend, higher purchase frequency and more sales compared to other sectors of the e-commerce. 

Our communication to our members is managed through our own AI system which offers segmentation possibilities. We target the offer to those who have shopped in a specific segment/category or shown interest, ensuring that our members receive concrete and appealing offers.

Most purchases are made through the Refunder app, close to 50% of our traffic is the starting point of our members' shopping = increasing incrementality

We have also launched "instore cashback" where our members receive cashback when they shop in physical stores.

Will you change strategy or do anything new during Black Friday, Cyber and Christmas this year?
We will continue with our winning concept as in 2021 with different Black Week packages and the Christmas calendar. Black Week GOLD is our biggest ever Black Week campaign with TV4/Channel 5/TV3/ViaFree/Discovery+/Outdoor advertising/Express TV etc etc. A campaign where we will reach over 27 million contacts. 

Do you have any tips for advertisers? How can advertisers perform well on your sites/channels during Q4?
Stand out from the crowd by having attractive offers and a higher cashback. With the help of our media packages, you have the opportunity to communicate this exclusively to our 692,000 members. 

What are your predictions for Q4 this year with the economic state of the world in mind
Our expectations for Q4 are a continued increase YoY. Due to the state of the world, consumers will be more selective when it comes to purchases, which we believe will benefit Refunder and all our partners. 

Elevator pitch, why should advertisers invest in Refunder Black Friday & Christmas exposure?
Refunder is Sweden's largest cashback site with over 1000 well-known stores. Our 692,000 members spent 1.4 billion SEK in 2021, they are high spenders, while looking for great deals in combination with cashback and are loyal to Refunder as well as our stores. 

Black Week 2021 was an all time high with generated sales of 59 MSEK (+1% YoY), while the Swedish market (e-commerce) went down -34% YoY, (source: Postnord).
