Purpose of the Role
As a Quality Engineer – Mobile, you will play a key role in ensuring that our mobile experience for publishers is reliable, intuitive, and high-performing. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to define and implement quality standards throughout the development lifecycle - from feature inception to post-release monitoring.
You will lead both manual and automated testing efforts for our Flutter-based mobile app, helping us ship with confidence at scale. Your contributions will include test strategy, automation development, cross-device validation, and continuous improvement of release quality.
The Team
You’ll join a cross-functional team focused on delivering the Awin for Publishers mobile app. This app serves thousands of publishers globally, offering tools for onboarding, tracking performance, managing payouts, and staying informed on the go.
As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with mobile and backend engineers to build and maintain robust test coverage, identify issues early, and ensure consistent behavior across devices and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, execute, and evolve a quality strategy for the mobile app, including both manual and automated testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for UI, integration, and regression scenarios.
- Use BrowserStack for multi-device testing and automation, ensuring consistent behavior across various screen sizes and OS versions.
- Perform manual exploratory and regression testing during feature development and release phases.
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability, promote Test-Driven Development (TDD), and support clean architecture principles.
- Own and monitor key quality metrics such as test coverage and release confidence.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, refine test cases with the team, and ensure timely and high-quality releases.
- Create detailed bug reports and assist with triaging production issues using logs and tools like Browserstack or Crashlytics.
Skills & Experience
Required:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing, with strong exposure to mobile application testing.
- Experience testing apps built with Flutter, including automated testing using Flutter’s widget/integration testing tools or other frameworks (e.g., Appium).
- Proven experience with BrowserStack, including multi-device testing and test automation workflows.
- Strong command of manual testing practices, particularly around mobile user interfaces and real-world device behavior.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST-assured.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments and integrating automation into delivery pipelines.
- Comfortable collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers in Agile teams.
Desirable:
- Experience with test management platforms like Browserstack, TestRail, etc.,
- Ability to debug mobile issues or read Flutter/Dart logs.
- Experience using monitoring tools like Datadog or Firebase Crashlytics for issue diagnosis
