Awin joins the Digital Disruptors Programme for the second year.

The 2019 Digital Disruptors Programme launched this week as a new group of digital pioneers joined the initiative aimed at introducing young people to the opportunities that await them within the digital industry.

In partnership with The Hebe Foundation, the Digital Disruptors Programme provides a platform for young people to engage with digital, encouraging them to realise their own potential with the guidance and encouragement of several digital companies. This year, Awin is joined by Found, Universal McCann, MTV Breaks, Facebook, Snap, and Reverse Media Group.

Over 40 teenagers have the chance to visit several digital workshops where they learn about affiliate marketing, digital media, mobile commerce, lens development and much more. They are then tasked with completing a project, applying their new skills, and pitching their ideas Dragon’s Den style at PI LIVE this October.

With this being the second year that Awin has taken part in the initiative, we were excited to again welcome a group of young adults into our office to teach them about our business and the wider affiliate marketing industry.

Our workshop was hosted by over ten Awin team members from across the business, who were able to share Awin’s passion for affiliate marketing and our industry insights in an engaging and dynamic way. Awin Account Manager, Kurt, commented that “it was fantastic to see some really enthusiastic, young, future digital marketing experts come through to Awin and was a pleasure to run through the training sessions with them”.

Following our workshop, Co-Founder of the Digital Disruptors Programme, Julie York, said "the Awin session was fresh, fun and tackled some pretty intensive subjects in an easily-digestible and open way. The Disruptors loved the fact that they could ask anything of the team and the pizza with bingo was also a great hit.”

Several Awin team members will now join the participating companies in becoming mentors for the young group as they spend the next few months working on their PI LIVE project pitches.
