Awin appoints Tim Lomborg as Managing Director for DACH

Written by 3 minute read

Awin has appointed long-standing senior management member, Tim Lomborg to lead its DACH operations.

Tim succeeds Marc Hundacker, who was responsible for the successful merger of affilinet and Awin as well as the platform migrations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland since joining Awin in March 2018. During his tenure he formed the current leadership team and restructured the DACH business with a new, sustainable go-to-market strategy. Marc departs the company to explore new professional opportunities.

Tim Lomborg brings more than ten years of affiliate marketing experience to the role. Since joining zanox in Berlin in 2010, the Cologne native quickly progressed to become DACH’s Advertiser Team Leader. In recognition of his leadership qualities, he was appointed Managing Director Nordics in 2016, expanding to Awin's Eastern European business in 2019.

In this role he established Awin as a leading affiliate network in the Nordics (Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway) and Eastern Europe, successfully completing the migration to Awin’s global platform. Across both regions, Tim’s customer-centric approach quickly resulted in major local brands including Ica Group, Outnorth, Miinto and Nelly to work with Awin as a trusted partner. His focus on developing strong, value-driven partnerships has delivered year-on-year double-digit growth.

From February 2021 his responsibilities will extend to include the DACH region, alongside the Nordics and Eastern Europe regions.

Adam Ross, CEO of Awin comments: "Tim takes the lead for one of our most important markets at a crucial time. Marc and his team have successfully brought our DACH businesses together under one platform and team, and had already begun the process of getting back to strong growth. 2020 ended exceptionally well and Tim can now bring his experience to bear in accelerating that growth with a clear focus on customer needs. Tim is a highly valued colleague with a phenomenal track record and he now returns to the market where his Awin career began.  It’s an exciting story and we are confident he will have a positive impact."

Tim Lomborg, Managing Director DACH says: "The German-speaking market and our DACH customers are of utmost importance to Awin and I look forward to making my contribution. Our team has worked incredibly hard over the past few years to build a solid foundation for growth and innovation with our partners. I’m excited to kick-off this new chapter for the DACH region by addressing the current and future needs of our customers, ensuring we capitalise on the potential in the market whilst remaining at the forefront of trust, security and quality tracking that our partners expect of us."

Day-to-day business operations are unaffected by this appointment. The DACH leadership team comprised of Beate Böhret, James Haliburton, Alexander Kube, Julius Kuhljürgen, Vanessa Kury and Florian Wallner will remain in place.
