Indirect Procurement Manager (f/m/d) - focus IT/digital

Purpose of Position

We seek an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to spearhead the establishment of a robust procurement function within our organization. This role is pivotal in optimizing our costs and ensuring efficient procurement processes in close collaboration with the business and its needs.The ideal candidate should possess 5-7 years of indirect procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in building procurement functions from the ground up. Strong communication skills to align with the business are essential for this role.Focus on IT procurement and digital business models is essential. 

Key Tasks

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement processes aligned with the company's strategy and business model

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (IT, Pricing, Finance, etc.) to understand requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals 

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic vendors to meet the company's needs

  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of products and services

  • Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services

  • Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and transparency

  • Implement cost reduction initiatives and monitor their effectiveness over time

  • Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements (SLAs)

  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Develop and maintain procurement metrics and reporting systems to track performance and identify improvement areas

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance

Skills & Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on IT procurement and digital business models
  • Experience with selling and negotiating services is required  
  • Proven experience in building procurement processes in dynamic environments
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • In-depth knowledge of digital business models and IT procurement best practices
  • Pragmatic and proactive approach 
  • Proficient usage of MS Office
