Introducing Wild: a leader in sustainability

Despite the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, shoppers in the UK continue to prioritise sustainability when they make purchase choices. More than half of UK consumers consider the environmental impact of the products they purchase. A whopping 91% believe that sustainable packaging and ethical reputation of brands are important factors in their spending decisions.

Wild is the leading sustainable deodorant brand in the UK and they’re determined to challenge the prevailing culture of disposable bathroom products. They do this by offering high-quality alternatives made from natural ingredients, without compromising on convenience or effectiveness. Wild provides customers with a lifelong deodorant solution in the form of a reusable deodorant applicator made of aluminium.

Wild’s business goals

As one of the fastest growing brands in the UK, Wild sought to improve the shopping experience for their customers. They defined three core objectives to promoting another brand on its site.

  1. Provide additional value to new and existing customers.
  2. Increase basket completion rate by attaching a free gift.
  3. Unlock a new stream of inbound revenue.

How Wild harnessed the power brand-to-brand partnerships

Wild added a complimentary gift from a third-party food box retailer. To achieve this, they partnered with Tyviso, an Awin brand partnership solution provider. Together with Awin, they implemented a strategy that would offer a free gift to customers directly on Wild's shopping basket page.

Wild integrated Tyviso’s gift with purchase (GWP) product into their checkout flow to partner with third-party retailers, such as SimplyCook. This provided customers with a value-added gift at checkout. In return, SimplyCook provided a free trail of their cook at home recipe box which any Wild customer could claim whilst buying their sustainable deodorant product.

Customers arriving at the basket page were able to redeem the free SimplyCook recipe box by simply adding the gift into their basket before completing their order.

Tyviso, with their integrated technology, could then send an endpoint to Wild’s CRM platform, instructing the software to send a trigger to this group of customers after the scheduled order confirmation email. The triggered email contained redemption instructions, including a link for the customer to complete their trial sign-up on the SimplyCook website.

Following the success of the initial campaign with SimplyCook, Wild have expanded the number of gifts that their customers can attach to their deodorant purchase, partnering with brands like smol and tastecard.

“Wild has gained immense value on many fronts (acquisition, CRO and monetisation) whilst simultaneously giving its shoppers joy. If you want a cheat code for 2023, this is it.
