To celebrate their December incentive, we speak to Plusnet Mobile’s Affiliate Manager, Natasha Watkinson about remaining competitive within the sector, best selling products and what they hope to achieve from their Advertiser of the Month status.
How is Plusnet Mobile’s affiliate presence feeding into the overall marketing strategy?
Affiliates are a really important part of launching Plusnet Mobile. Plusnet is well known for offering great value broadband and homephone packages with great customer service and wants to get famous quickly for mobile too. Affiliates can help raise awareness of Plusnet Mobile by writing about the brand on their blogs and social media. Affiliates are also an important sales channel for Plusnet’s great value SIM only plans.
How do you remain competitive in the Telecoms sector within the affiliate space?
Plusnet is committed to giving affiliates special offers that are regularly updated. We are working hard to increase conversion rates with dedicated affiliate landing pages and a mobile optimised responsive website design.
Our programme with Awin benefits from some best in class tracking technology such as cross programme tracking. If customer clicks on a link for plusnet mobile and goes onto buys plusnet broadband then the affiliate still gets paid. Equally if a customer clicks on plusnet broadband and goes onto buy plusnet mobile then the affiliate still gets paid. We also offer cross device tracking, especially important in the mobile space where over 60% of website visits are on a mobile device.
You host a range of SIM Only offerings, which packages – and in turn commission rates, do you see most uplift from?
Our most popular SIM only plans are the £7.50 plan which includes 2GB data, 1000 minutes and unlimited texts and our £10 plan which includes 4GB data, 1500 minutes and unlimited texts. The commission rates are £8 for the £7.50 plan and £12 for the £10 plan. We are also offering as part of the advertiser of the month promotion a £50 bonus for affiliates that sell 5 SIMs from any plan in December.
What are you looking to achieve from running the December Advertiser of the Month incentive?
We are hoping to recruit lots of new affiliates onto the new Plusnet Mobile programme. We launched Plusnet Mobile on 29th November so it’s a really exciting to join and start selling a new brand to your users. We are also looking forward to reading lots of exciting content about Plusnet Mobile and will be giving away a Betty’s Luxury Hamper worth £150 to the publisher who writes the best piece of content.
As we near 2017, what are your plans to develop the Plusnet Mobile programme in the new year?
We are looking forward to working with new publishers to see how Plusnet Mobile can best be promoted on their sites. We will also be launching co-branded affiliate landing pages.
