Appointment brings deep publishing expertise to Awin as AI reshapes how consumers discover information, brands and trusted content.

Awin has welcomed former Telegraph CEO Anna Jones to its Supervisory Board, following Axel Springer's acquisition of The Telegraph.
Jones brings extensive publishing, commercial, and digital growth experience at a time when artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the relationship between publishing, commerce and customer discovery.
As AI increasingly shapes how consumers browse, buy and engage with brands, trusted publishers are playing a growing role in influencing customer decisions. At the same time, much of that influence now happens before a click, creating new challenges for marketers seeking to understand what drives commercial outcomes and for publishers seeking recognition for the value they create.
That shift is central to Awin's strategy.
Rather than treating AI as simply another measurement challenge, Awin is building multiple complementary layers of discovery intelligence that connect trusted publisher intelligence, AI discovery signals and first-party performance data. Rather than relying on a single metric or dataset, customers gain seamless access to both the breadth and depth of insight needed to understand how brands are discovered, influenced and ultimately chosen.
Anna's appointment reflects both Axel Springer's continued investment in Awin and the growing strategic importance of publishing expertise as AI reshapes digital commerce.
"Awin is an important part of Axel Springer's future. The business has strong momentum, a clear direction, and a significant opportunity ahead. Anna brings experience that is increasingly relevant as AI changes how people discover content and brands. Her appointment reflects our confidence in the team and our long-term commitment to investing in Awin's next phase of growth.”
Commenting on the appointment, Adam Ross, CEO of Awin, said: "The publishers who shape what consumers decide are becoming even more important to the customer journey. Their influence is real, but the infrastructure to measure and reward it has been missing.
Anna has led one of Europe's leading publishing organisations through that transition. She understands better than most how AI is changing the economics of publishing, and her perspective will be invaluable as we continue building products and partnerships that help advertisers recognise, measure and reward publisher influence."
Jones joined Telegraph Media Group in January 2023 and has led business through digital transformation, subscription growth, and the emergence of AI-driven discovery. She joins Awin's Supervisory Board at a time when publisher expertise is fundamentally important to the future of digital commerce.
"The relationship between publishing, technology and commerce is changing rapidly. Trusted content is becoming even more valuable as AI influences how consumers discover brands and information. Awin is building an important part of that future, and I'm excited to contribute my experience as the business continues to grow."
