I am a campaign assistant at in Key Account Management for Shop Direct, Boots, Jack Wills and Laterooms.
My current role involves a lot of admin tasks, supporting a variety of accounts within my team. I primarily work on fashion, beauty and travel accounts within Key Account Management. On a day to day basis I am always on the look for the arranged exposure and making sure that it is live and documented for the client’s needs, publisher approvals (accepting or rejecting publishers into the programmes), and creating weekly communications for various sales which are going live for all clients. Part of my role as a campaign assistant is to support wherever I am needed across all accounts. This varies on a weekly basis, as some weeks can be busier than others.
The main skills required for a campaign assistant are time management, organisation, good communication skills and being able to adapt in situations when needed. One thing I have gained whilst supporting other accounts within my team is being given lots of opportunities to help develop my skills by being given small projects of either recruitment tasks, starting to contact publishers about exposure opportunities and learning more about Excel for various tasks.
Working as a campaign assistant I have developed my skills in time management in order to prioritise tasks for each account. The ability to be flexible and communicate continuously are the key skills a campaign assistant needs in order to help everything run smoothly. Before starting this role I wasn’t aware of how much I would rely on Excel on a day to day basis - especially when it comes to weekly reporting! This is a skill that has developed massively since I started and I can see my Excel skills/knowledge growing each week.
Since starting at Awin after graduating from university, I have loved the work and social atmosphere of the business and how well people work together to help and support each other across various levels within the departments. Here at Awin there is a real sense of community which made me feel so welcome within the business.
