Publisher Development Specialist (f/m/d)

Purpose of Position

The Publisher Development Executive is a important role within the Publisher Development division of the Publisher Management department, dedicated to significantly growing the publishers portfolio across both the ShareASale and Awin networks, building and developing new publisher relationships/partnerships in both the US and Canada. Publisher Development represents the publisher to the advertiser. This division focuses on finding relevant new publishers and representing them to our advertisers, advertiser management teams and agencies across both Awin and ShareASale. This role offers you the opportunity to make a significant difference to the growth of Awin and ShareASale in the US and to become a key member of this dynamic team.

Eligible states include: Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. 

Key Tasks

  • Generating an outbound publisher pipeline, targeting key opportunities in both the US and CA markets. 
  • Making regular calls to prospective new publishers, booking direct meetings and webinars in sufficient numbers as defined in quarterly targets
  • Maintaining a healthy target pipeline through own research, networking activities, lead follow up, and team guidance.
  • Recruiting new publishers including top tier publishers, mass media, fintech, mobile app, and traditional / non-traditional publishers
  • Following up with prospects several times throughout the recruitment cycle to ensure needs are being met
  • Supporting pitches to advertiser
  • Providing lists of advertiser and product recommendations
  • Providing local market consultation and insights
  • Overseeing vertical publisher recruitment efforts in coordination with the Advertiser Management teams. Establish processes and systems that ease access to relevant publisher segments in support of campaigns launch and new business acquisition. 
  • Appraising prospective publishers' sites effectively and efficiently, working closely with the compliance team
  • Leading and assisting in all aspects of publisher network integrations and negotiate further development

Skills & Expertise

  • 1+ year business development or account management experience in the digital performance marketing industry
  • Strong knowledge of the affiliate marketing industry
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in both a remote and office setting
  • Evidence of consistent over achievement of targets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially at high level
  • Strong networking and negotiating skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (especially MS Excel), Tableau, SimilarWeb, Salesforce, and Microsoft Power BI is a plus
