Inspire – Champagne Breakfast For Agencies

Written by 2 minute read

On Friday 27th May 2016, Awin hosted a champagne breakfast in a private dining room at St Barts Brewery on West Smithfield.

This historic bar and restaurant is located a stone’s throw away from the bustling Smithfield Market, in the heart of Farringdon.

Despite the unusually early start on a Friday morning, there was a great turnout from agencies including iProspect, Omnicom, 360i London and Thought Mix. Guests were treated to a welcoming glass of Buck’s Fizz upon arrival.

Michelle O’Sullivan, Commercial Director at Awin has previously said of the Inspire events:

“Our objectives for the events are to showcase to agencies the learnings from the network in regards to the evolution of mobile, cross device behaviour and changing publisher trend. By giving this insight, agencies are then able to utilise this knowledge within the programmes they manage on behalf of their Merchants. We demonstrate how they can optimise activity using the exclusive Awin network tools, and the importance of new payment models such as commission on assist to the channel, which we see as essential to provide the likes of content and blogger affiliates a lifeline to maintain the long tail growth that the majority of merchants are so desperate to achieve.”

Following an introduction on agency support by Agency Commercial Manager, Jonathan McGee ,breakfast was served with a selection of pastries, a choice between smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and a hearty full English breakfast (of course), leaving no choice for guests but to indulge.

Over breakfast, a selection of presentations were delivered by members of the Awin team; Edward Chaput, Product Manager kicked proceedings off with insights into the latest releases and future products in the development pipeline.

Farhad Rizwan, Publisher Consultant, followed and delivered a beneficial presentation on Exciting new emerging publishers to showcase to merchants.

Next Dawn Quigg, Head of Key Accounts gave a creative and detailed presentation on Publisher Insights, where she tackled common assumptions in affiliate marketing.

Finally to conclude the presentations Head of Business Intelligence, Matt Swan and Global Client Strategy Director, Kevin Edwards , shared how agencies can utilise our BI tools, Q1 trends and additional strategy insights.

The knowledge enhancing occasion provided the opportunity to help agencies with the development of their merchant programmes, and assist with further opportunities in partnership with Awin.

On departure guests were given a gift of an Awin branded USB containing support documents including Strategy Whitepapers, Sector specific reports and much more.

Many thanks to all who attended, we hope to see your return for the next event!
