This week on Awin Talks we’re joined by Nicola Hughes, Affiliates Lead at The Very Group, a UK-based online retailer with a thriving affiliate program.
Nicola has worked at Very for many years in a number of different roles and that experience means she’s able to appreciate the impact successful affiliate partnerships can have across the business.
In 2020, recognizing the increased prominence that Very’s ecommerce app was gaining with their customers, the retailer decided to install app tracking on its affiliate program. The desire to understand more about in-app sales being driven by affiliate partners, and to reward those that were driving hugely valuable conversions made it a no-brainer.
Nicola discusses how the business came to this decision, the steps involved in setting it up in conjunction with Awin and what The Very Group learned about marketing partnerships since setting it live.
In addition, we learn more about the company’s broader approach to affiliate marketing, why it sees such value in the channel and discuss future plans.
