Regarding art. 34 Abs. 3 c) GDPR

Herewith we would like to inform you that on October 5th 2018 our business premises in Hannover was broken into. In the course of this break-in, one laptop was stolen which was assigned to an UK employee.

We assume that up to 50 business transactions are stored on this laptop, which may also contain the business contact data of our contractual partners and their employees.

Even though the laptop is protected by unique password consisting of at least 8 characters (upper and lower case as well as at least one number and one special character), we cannot completely rule out that the burglars have gained access to the data.

Of course, we immediately reported the incident to the police and data protection authorities. The investigation is still ongoing. We ourselves consider the risk of endangering the rights and freedoms of natural persons to be very low, as the vast majority of data that may have been stolen is publicly accessible and is exclusively business contact information. Sensitive data is expressly not affected.

If you have any questions, please contact our data protection officer and her team of experts at  or AWIN AG / DPO, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin, Germany.

We look forward to continuing our trusting cooperation.
