Kevin Burke, CMO at SimpleTire, discusses how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have evolved in the US, and how SimpleTire is preparing for these e-commerce events.

How has the importance of Black Friday and Cyber Monday evolved over the years in your market? What do you think these events will look like in the future? Has this impacted your companies planning for these events?

People are looking for deals during this time and particularly on high ticket items. Tires are not inexpensive, so a small percentage discount can equate to big dollar savings. Each year, the deals have gotten more aggressive and this year will be no different. It certainly has made us very aware that we need to work hard to bring the best value to the market.

Tell us about how your company is preparing for Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2018.
We get ready many weeks in advance by working with tire suppliers to make sure the right product inventory is available and ready to be sold on our website at great prices.

It is a fantastic time! It’s a rallying time for each employee to bring their best effort to the forefront to serve customers. It is always the biggest sales period of the year, and this year will break all previous records.

What value can affiliates contribute to your brand’s objectives during Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Affiliates are critical to us reaching a mass market of consumers seeking deals. This year will be our first holiday season working with affiliates and we are very optimistic about seeing significant growth.
